WELCOME to the Science and Mission Systems Office
The Mission of the Science and Mission Systems Office (S&MS) is to develop, operate and execute NASA programs, projects and activities that fall at the very intersection of science and exploration – where every discovery or achievement rewards the nation now and in the future, in terms of general scientific knowledge and understanding, and in furthering the agency's ambitious mission to expand human reach across the solar system. It is the work of each organization within the Science and Mission Systems Office to achieve specific goals that enable these twin pursuits – performing basic and applied research to achieve NASA's science and discovery objectives, and developing new systems, solutions and technologies for exploration. |
